Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus. Five siblings are hers - two half-brothers and a half-sister, and two younger siblings. They named her Miley because she represented a huge hope for the children. Miley was changed to Smiley as a young girl that she was awarded by being jovial. Ron Cyrus was her grandfather. Cyrus began her education at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. At the age of eight the family relocated from Tennessee to Toronto, Canada, where Cyrus her father Billy Ray took a role in the TV drama Doc (2001). Cyrus began her acting career during that time. Her first role came alongside the father of her character as Doc Doc (2001). Additionally, she had an appearance in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus was in Hannah Montana (2006) (a Disney show about a teenage woman with a dual life singing) in the role of Hannah Montana, who is the protagonist. Again, her father joined her on screen. After the show's success, the show was followed by hit albums, sold-out tour dates and sales for merchandise. Cyrus gained fame when she was a teenager. Cyrus began to take on different roles after the success she had in the film Hannah Montana (2006). The roles included Ronnie Miller (in The Last Song 2010, 2010) as well as Lola (in LOL (2012)) along with Demi Moor.
